Reptisun T5 HO 24" hood or 30" hood

Hi all,
I'm new to the bearded dragon world and I am in the process of ordering UVB for my 4x2x2 Zen Habitats vivarium
and I was going to order the 30" Zoo Med T5 HO hood with 10.0 bulb but than noticed that it takes the exact same 22" bulb as the 24" hood.
What is the benefit of going up to the 30" if its the same size bulb?
Is a 24" hood good enough for that size enclosure?
I see some say that the UVB should be 2/3 length of enclosure which would put me at 36" hood.
Any help and information is appreciated.

I have 2 Zen's and use the 24" fixture-- it needs to go inside the tank 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor

Yes - both tanks have the 24" fixture Reptisun 10.0 T 5

Hi we rescue and rehome & YES 36 inches is correct. The Reptisun UVb bulb should cover 70 percent of the length of the enclosure. Also make sure there is a hideaway so he can get away from uvb once in a while they like to do that so if u have a hammock place a soft cloth over it so he can hide under the hammock/cloth if needed
