repticarpet cleaning

i was just wondering if i could put my repticarpet through the washer and dryer? its a pain in the butt drying otherwise. and if i can what soap should i use?

I throw my repticarpets in the washer and dryer. I make my own chemical free laundry detergent though, so I'm not sure if commercial detergents would have a negative impact over an extended period of time. You could always pick up some seventh generation laundry detergent, it's about as safe as they come. I use their dish soap formula and I love it!

for cleaning ive just always soaked in my bathtub with dawn dish soap in some hot water! so i wonder if i can add that to the washer ??

hot water and some good agitation should suffice. I would skip the detergent and water softener.
