Repti-Sun and fixture

Okay so I finally got a fixture for my Repti-Sun 10.0. It's a double fixture. What type of regular fluorescent bulb can I use? I think I got the Daylight one. Is this one too bright? I was thinking to get the one with the blueish tint (I don't know the name???). Help?

And I'd like to add, I think I may have read on here or somewhere that you can use just a regular household bulb as the basking light? (As long as you get the right temps, of course).

I've been using 150 watt basking bulbs in my 70 gallon tank that's split in the middle for each of my babies. Now that spring is here, it has gotten hot FAST. I mean, Baby's side of the tank got to 120*F! I had to move things around so it's not so hot. Everyone was gaping today lol. Had to turn the heat in my room down! (It's usually about 25*C in my room LOL). Baby had one of those Zoo Med hallogen basking lights. Boy do they get HOT. Anyway, I bought some 100 watt regular household bulbs to use (if I can), because of the speedy hot weather.

Regular household bulbs work just fine for heat.
As far as the 2nd tube light I use just a reg flur bulb with the other being the reptisun 10

oh! don't forget to mark that bulb so you can tell them apart!!!!! That way if your new repti sun malfunctions, you're not wondering which bulb is bad.

Okay 'ladyknite', I will do just that! :D
And as for the second fluorescent tube, there are different kinds of them. I'm just wondering which one!! The one I bought is far brighter than the Repti-Sun. I'm not sure if I should use it - it may be too bright for them?

as long as it's a bright white, and not a yellow white (bug light) any flourescent house bulb will do.

Alright so I guess I'm good to go! Because the one I have is called 'daylight'. Just curious, what's wrong with them yellow ones?

Wrong spectrum. Whites are what seem "brighter" and warmer.. yellows tend to attract insects that fly...
Not sure if those are the specific reasons.. but they are valid.

Alright.

Oh, to add to this FANTASTIC day (sarcasm), my fixture is faulty. I bought it off someone, and he showed me that it works. I set up the fixture, and the socket for the regular fluorescent tube, was sparking and smoking. Thank goodness I let it run for a few minutes to make sure everything was in 'check'. If I didn't, a fire would have most likely started. So, I called my sister's boyfriend over because he knows about this stuff. He checked it out, and told me that the sockets were like burnt (they were black and brown..). But an upside to that, was that I can just not use that socket. So, we turned the fixture on again, and the everything was fine. UNTIL. Until the REPTI-SUN bulb started sparking and smoking. Just my luck! Now the fixture is completely garbage. What a waste of money. It's weird though - they guy who sold me it showed us that it worked. I guess once I fiddled with it to make things proper, showed how the fixture really works. Now I have to go out and buy a NEW fixture. Great.

So after I removed the fixture from my tank, I had to swtich me bulbs again (I had already put the regular household bulbs in) to the reptile basking bulbs. I switched one on - yay. I switched on the other, and it went on for a second, then shut off. I was thinking "I BOUGHT THIS BULB 2 WEEKS AGO AND IT'S SUPPOSED TO LAST A YEAR!" Luckily my brother pointed out, is that when I switched the bulb on, I accidently unplugged it.

As you can see, I'm having a really bad day now. :(
