My beardie hasn't been eating for a while now and I am wondering if Reptiaid will help him, I have heard some good things about it like it can boost energy levels, promote eating and even fight of sickness. Is all this true? If so, I was hoping it could get him back into eating. is there a certain one I should purchase?

What is he doing? Is he doing a lot of sleeping? He could be going thru a semi brumation --- but to determine that basking temps should be on par 95-100 tanken w/ a digital probe thermometer No stick ons - UVB a long tube fixture correctly placed in the tank NO coils -- distance as well --- if any of this is incorrect the behavior will mimic brumation behavior --

Hi so I don't think he is brumating, he is doing the opposite! he has tons of energy and is basically jumping off the walls, He has become complete paranoid of his reflection and he spends most of his time running all day. His basking spot Is 95-100 and he has the proper UVB. Arcadia 12% T5 HO, 12 inches from the Basking decor. Right now, he is in an all glass tank but he is moving to a 120 gallon zen habitats in January.

I have done that, but he still freaking out! He is trying to crawl his way out of everything. He has so much energy costly, and spends all day running non-stop. He no longer focuses on eating or basking. I am not sure what to do. He has lost weight. But seems very happy and active with bright colors. I am ordering the 120 gallon tank today.

ok I am gonna say its the hormone thing -- Hiccup does the glass surfing every Feb and it drives me insane -- I will get him out for about 2 hrs and sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt - he will do it all morning and early afternoon then go take a nap --- this will go on for weeks --- and hes in a 120 gallon Zen -- that is why I am thinking its hormones --
the weight thing how much has he lost? Has he ever had a fecal done? If not please take a fecal into your vet NO enemas !!!! or if you dont have one here is a website to find one www.arav.org
I need to get one in to my vet -- I usually have one done every 6 months for my two ---
Lack of appetite could be a parasite issue -- best to get one and rule that out as well for the lack of appetite

I think that might be what happening! I am doing the same thing. Taking him out for a while and then putting him back in. The eating problems seems to be more parnoia. When he sees his reflection he glares at the all and won't even focus on his food. On rare occasion he will not be distracted and eats silkworms or super worm. Is there a cure for the paranoia? I have covered all his walls with construction paper and you can't see his reflection.

Is he near a window that he can see out? Any other animals in the room w/ him ? It could be the hormones -- how much weight has he lost and have you done anything w/ the fecal yet?
