Just some info guys ;D.

Central Bearded dragon (P.vitticeps)
SVL 250mm

Eastern Bearded dragon (P.barbata)
SVL 250mm

Small-scaled Bearded dragon (P.Microlepidota)
SVL 180mm

Dwarf Bearded dragon (P.minor)
SVL 115-163mm
*subspecies
P.minor.minor SVL 149mm
P.minor.minima SVL 115mm
P.minor.mitchelli SVL 163mm

Nullarbor Bearded dragon (P.nullarbor)
SVL 140mm

Downs Bearded dragon (P.henrylawsoni)
SVL 148mm

NOTES
P.henrylawsoni and P.minor (subspecies) can be communal within reason.

P.nullarbor and P.microlepidota husbandry requirement are unknown as they are nonexistent in captivity at this point in time.

P.vitticeps and P.barbata are definitely solitary dragons and are best kept individually, though there are claims from time to time of people having varying degrees of success keeping them in colonies.

Cheers,

yep mate, you need to either acquire an accurate field guide or post pics and we could all have a guess lol.
First thing though which would be the easiest way to tell is to let us know where you are and provide some pics of your specimen.

The only thing that is easily available in the states is P.vitticeps all the rest are almost non-existent over thre apart from a few lucky people who have P.henrylawsoni.

supposedly thats the story but i never found out if it was true or just a myth...i also heard that but i also heard it was just selective breeding of the largest vitticeps

The Barbata's are where the german giant line originated from?

If you ask aussie keeprs the German Giant line is from the Yellow Vitticeps that have naturally over there as they are the larger bodied and longer vitticeps. Selective breeding of these large yellow vitticeps gave us the giants of today. I do not know the answer either way.

Thanks for the pics Candice ;D. They are spot on mate (although the mitchelli is a bit suspect ???). The mitchellis i have seen seem to have a more rounded head and the latteral scalling on pictured specimen are more pronounced.

Here you go. I live in Toronto, Canada. I was at a reptile expo and got it from a breeder. I think he was a breeder. I'm pretty sure he was local or at least within the province. Let me know if more pics are required. I'll be more than happy to take kore pics. :)
