I planted a small garden out by my deck this year and the only garden I ever planted. I started late and used cheap seed and low and behold I have some green and yellow beans so far. Well "Cayanne just loved the yellow beans and my rescue baby[got to give her a name soon] liked them both and my senagal like the yellow the best. So worth while planting the little garden. Still waiting on other things coming up-but good to see the animals enjoying my hard work.river-7

Good job! I live in an apartment and we have a small porch. I was going to plant peppers and tomatoes this year but my landlord asked me if I would do flower planters so that's what I did instead. I have an Aerogarden inside and earlier in the season I planted mustard greens and upland cress, Luci really liked that since mustard greens are his favorite.

Yesterday, I found 4-good size cucumbers in the garden. boy these girls are lucky. Not to have the cucumbers but the fact that I planted the garden. Yesterday I went for more crix; and worms, and I got some small meal worms and going to try the rescue baby with some this morning.I finally tracked down the worm lady. Right now she is in Guelph and she also sells crix; I will be emailing her tomorrow sometime to get prices ect. Crix; went up where I get mine=$25.00 plus tax. They were $22.00 and butter worms went from-$4.50 To $5.00. Everybody is out pricing them selves.Oh, well as long as my babies eat good I will keep plugging on. river-7-ps they both love bean-sprouts

Hi; Patsy; Made progress today got a T-8 tube for her a 24-inch for now until I can get her a fixture that will support a t-5, but for now it's better then spirals. She seems to think so too. Well new rescue has a name for now =Doodles= I may change it, but she don't care as long as she eats. she had bean sprouts and greens today and really enjoyed them and gave me a more mom look. And I tried her on a few small meal worms. There is not too much that dragon don't like when it comes to food. I don't think she ever ate good and now she's making up for it.river-7

We are trying peaches today.....Luci isn't big on fruit so I'm sure he will poop on them! He licked one but I haven't seen him eat it yet.

Morning Patsy;good to see you on this side. well to catch you up I got the t-8 and going to drop it low for her[6]inches, and I have a chameleon cage coming today at noon for both of them as I get panicky when they are on my knee that they will make a jump for it. And I have to go and get more bugs and worms for them. The worm ladies staff called me yesterday and told me how to place the standing order with them but man I hate paying shipping but would be a lot easier then having to run to store all the time even tho it's not far.But she handles everything supers, phoenix horns ,butters ,wax, and crix; So I guess you call it 1-stop shopping but now I can't find her website again to order[another job] today. And fresh bugs don't come until 1-pm.I have bought 2000 bugs for these babies in the last week and they have ate them especially the new baby .But I am glad that they don't just die at least the babies get some benefit out of them.Wish I could get some roaches for them. There is a guy in Toronto that advertises sometimes but he's out for now but I am watching for him.I might get lucky. Just after I bought the fixture I have now there was a guy advertising 36-inch fixtures on kijiji and he said it would support a t-5 light but some of these guys are shady.Well I guess that's it for now-except I think I will try a little clover for a treat for them and neither 1-of mine like fruit, oh well as long as they like their greens-river-7

Wow, you got some hungry mouths there! I forget how hungry babies are. I ordered 2000 super worms in February and they lasted me until just a few weeks ago! Hornworms are the big favorite over here, I bought about 100 1 1/2 weeks ago and I had to order some more yesterday. Dexter loves them and the chameleon loves them. They are also good for my little frog. I wish I had a one stop place that I could physically go to and pick up my bugs.

Patsy; They are hungry mouths that is for sure.I use horns worms as a laxative so to speak. Every beardie I have ever owned has a very loose bowel movement after eating horns.I wonder what does that. Any other kind of worms and we are good to go-it don't affect them that way. When I first got the little rescue baby she didn't go right away and I gave her a horn worm and presto she went.So I do give them as a treat and good clean out once in a while. But the other worms I don't hold back on I give them what they like.I was suppose to go yesterday to pick up bugs but I was feeling a little ill. So this morning I will have to go to pick up their food.but with this worm lady this is really 1-stop shopping-her prices are excellent. And she raises the worms her self and the crix; And she gut-loads everybody so no need for us to gut-load when we first get them. We can go ahead and feed right away.Where most places you get your bugs and have to gut-load and wait 24-hours before you feed. So I am going to give her a try. The one thing I like is she has the phoenix worms. So when I order I will let everyone know how it was.And she doe's email money order transfers. Which is good as I don't believe in cc.ok, talk later river-7

Horn worms have a lot of water so I think that's what causes it. Dexter and Bumble do okay with them. Luci tends to just leave extra urate around his tank. He gets a lot of fiber in his diet because he's a real good salad eater so his poops stay solid.

Let us know how the phoenix worms work out. I used them for Dexter and Luci in the past but they just pooped them out whole. I just bought some recently for my little frog and got the same thing. Other people have told me that happens to them too. Not sure why.

Patsy; a lot of reptiles react that way at first until they get use to them,i think it's the high calcium count, but after awhile they go to normal. Have not ordered yet but gave Cayanne some tiny meal worms this morning and gave rescue some supers only a few and they all liked them. And they both just got s tiny amount. But the rescue- man she downed them no problem. But Cayanne her normal dainty self checked them out good. And I forgot butter worms yesterday so have to go today and more crix; today if they have them. I was reading an articale on 1/4 crix; it was saying they have more moisture in them and more protein then the other sizes.I fed the mealies, and fed the supers as well and both worms were actually starving and crawled over each other to eat.Had another pet shop employee tell me supers eat their stomachs out and so I explained to her the myth and she didn't believe it. Then she tried to tell me an alexandrine bird was a male and it was a female as I had a pair of them. Pet shops I wish they were trained.when I had my big boy I gave him phoenix worms all the time and a couple of my younger beardies and they were fine with them. Usually they react that way until they get use to them. And it's advised to give a few every couple of days. And my cham; would stand on his head to get them.river-7

I never thought of that with the phoenix worms. I'm going to keep trying since I have a lot of them left over and my little frog needs some fattening up.
