Hello all!! I am new to the beardie world. Got my very first one last night!! I've been trying to read up online about Care but any advice would be much appreciated

Also, if someone could possibly tell me what morph/breed this little one is? Going to try to upload pics...

Mayobe an approx. age?

And how do determine male or female?

I got little one from a friend who no longer had time to care for it properly

Thank you in advance!!

Ignore my comment on your other thread, I found the pictures, LOL!

It's hard to know the age since they grow at different rates. Do you know how long the friend had it before you got it? My rough guess would be it's maybe 4-5 months. To tell if it's a boy or girl you hold it in one hand and with the other hand gently lift the tail from the base back towards it's head. one lump in the middle of the tail before the vent is a girl, 2 lumps on the tail before the vent is a boy. You can you tube how to sex a bearded dragon and it will pull up helpful tutorials.

What kind of set up is it in? Size of tank, lighting?

Not sure what it is. Unless you know what it's parents were you won't really know what morph it is. Does it have black eyes or clear nails?

i would just say it's adorable !! Dont get too hung up on morph, color or what not. Unless you're breeding, it just doesnt matter. I've got a couple of "mutts" myself - love em both (yes, Patsy - i got a new kid)

I'm not a bearded dragon professional, I used to breed and have a decent amount of experience. Looks like it could be a dunner's morph because of the prominent spotting and pattern. As PatsyB said if all the nails are clear you have a hypo but looking at that first picture (its not very clear or bright enough) The nails don't look super clear.. none the less that beardie is super cute!
