Ok, so I changed Spike's cage a bit today and he really seems to like the higher bathing rock and the, thicker branch, but now I need to know what is safe,to use to block the inside of the post so the crickets cannot hide in there. By the way, I read many replies that day check out the links below, but there are never any links showing on my app.

Those darn crickets sure are good at hiding. How big a hole do you need to fill? I dont see why ordinary wood filler wouldnt be ok
I know you do not mean what I am about to say, but it is funny that I got a similar idea when I was out in my shop. My dad did Scroll work before he got so sick and there are lots of thin pieces. I picked out some for ramps, one to use to hang him hammock I am going to make, and several to make a fake floor under those terra cotta pots. It is too big of a hole for wood filler, like putty, plus I want to be able to use the pots in his big big when he,is older as actual plant holders, but thanks for the suggestion. I hope I understood you correctly, if not, then I am probably doing what you meant. Oh, I am also covering the wood in material to avoid the possibility of splinters unless I decide to paint and waterproof them. Haven't quite made up my mind on that. Might wait a day to let my brain think it through. Besides, I have a play pen to make for outdoor fun and I now have all of the stuff for it. [emoji6]

Im trying to visualise it but the pic in my mind is probably way off lol. If you are going to cover it in material that should be enough to keep crickets out, providing it covers the hole.

Think thin wooden floor under the pots. I just realized my picture didn't post. Wonder what I did wrong. Ugh
