Question about Willie

I am puzzled, Willie has been with me now for 4 weeks. As of last Thursday, he was up to 196 grams. I took a weight today, he is 190.
How acurate are those little digital scales? I done it several times, no difference. He is eating really great, he is up to about 50 crickets a day, he would eat more but the vet told to to increase gradually. He also eats his salad, and dragon pellets. Any ideas on why? I will post picture tomorrow.

Did he have a big poo after you weighed him last week? maybe that would make up the difference???

Oh, I wouldn't start to decrease yet. I know that normally a dragon over a year, yes you would start to decrease. but the body weight of an adult dragon is also much higher than yours. Honestly I don't think that 4 weeks of good treatment warrants the cutting down of the protein yet. You want him to be at a good healthy adult weight. Don't get me wrong, he might never get to the 500 + grams that you hear of other dragons, but you definitely want him to be more than 200.

Sorry, but you misunderstood me. When I got him, he was 112 grams , the vet told me to start easy with the crickets and to increase gradually because he was so thin and not use to the food. we are up to 50 crickets a day but had no weight gain this week, should I be worried? We started him out with about 20 crickets a day, advised by the vet. He has a good poop everyday and has since the second day I had him. He also eats his salad and treats.

First picture taken today, 4 weeks after getting.
Second taken 1 week after I got him.
Third one, day I got him
Look at his back legs, very noticeable difference. But why no gain this last week?

Sorry, I must have misunderstood. Thought it was strange a vet would say slow him down, lol! As asked, has he pooped a lot in the last day. That could by why. Also, don't forget, just like humans, they have different days and weeks. You could weigh him tomorrow and he has gained weight. I wouldn't panic just yet. Just keep up the proper feedings and see what happens. If he continues to not gain weight, I would up the amount of crix. If that still doesn't help, then I would definately have the vet check him out again.

Is he pooping regularly? What are you feeding for greens?
