Hi! Really like the new forum set-up! My beardie is appx 8 months old, and all has been going well. Did have a small problem with constipation, which is now resolving hopefully, but decided to take him in to our local reptile vet anyway since I have not done this yet. Basically got a good check-up but he did have parasites, coccida, and something else (I forgot), vet said nothing too serious and quite common. Prescibed Pancur .25cc 1x week for 3 weeks, and .25cc smz/tmp, 1x per day for 10 days. He did the 1st doses in the office by putting a long syringe right down in the lizards stomach. Now my question/problem is that I don't think I can do this as I am too afraid and squeamish!! And he said if I miss the stomach and get it into his lungs, I can kill the lizard!! Is there any other way I can safely and effectively administer these meds. Maybe in food, or just put it in his mouth?? Certainly appreciative of any imput anyone has on this matter!! Thanks so much!
