I feed my bearded dragon on a 2-3 day schedule one day he gets 2 dozen crickets and a salad consisting of squash, collard, and cactus(when available). I'm working on adding more greens to it but I really don't know what to add so far he only likes collards. On the second day he gets 20-30 mealworms and maybe a salad. I want to start trying to breed super worms as they are quite a bit more expensive then meal worms. On the third day he either gets a little salad maybe one or two worms maybe nothing.

So he's new to the meal worms I have so many and they are a free food source since I breed them for my geckos but when he poops there's whole worms in it. I know meal worms are mostly shell and do not have very much nutrition but do they take anything at all from them? It seems so pointless to even give them to him if they have 0 value what so ever. Also any suggestions on salad items appreciated he eats a lot of different types of squash but I'd like to mix it up.

try www.beautifuldragons.com they have a nutrition section with a huge list of things to feed and not to feed. its even color coded so u can see what food items are better than others. i havent heard of the three day feeding schedule thing though. my two beardies share a salad everyday, a couple dozen crickets and 10 or so superworms. maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in on that.
