Preparing salads

I have a question about chopping salad. When I make The General's leafy greens I generally slice roughly inch long strips about 1/4 to 1/2 inches wide. My question though, involves stems and other things like green beans or peas, things that are bulkier. I've been slivering his green beans and slicing his fruit in very thin small bits.

Is this necessary? Can a dragon chomp beans and stems well enough that I won't need to sliver them? I know he does very well with crickets and worms.;) But I'm worried that stems (I usually toss them) ..that the stems will have too much fiber for him to chew. Same thing with green beans. My daughter bought some for the people in our house and I've slivered a couple for him the last two or three days..... He loves them. I even think he's a little addicted! :p

I'm sure other new dragon lovers have the same questions.

I always worry about stems and things that are crunchy and thicker. Just to be on the safe side I sliver things like you do. I slice fruit thin and I cut small round things like blueberries, in half or quarters depending on how big the dragons mouth is. I heard that about green beans. I think it was Noella that suggested that once time when someones dragon was refusing to eat, they can't resist them!

Allie always loved her green beans. When she wouldn't eat, I'd put thin sliced cooked green beans on her salad and she'd gobble them right up. She loved green beans.

It can be either straight from the can washed really well or cooked or boiled fresh, without any seasoning or ham. I've got a community garden and picked some fresh green beans and squash. I cooked them all and gave them to Myah. She sampled some. But no more. She's not interested in her a lot of greens, but she's growing to like them. :)

Oh wow, I responded to this but it didn't post. I would stick to steamed fresh or frozen. If you do from the can make sure it's waged real good to get rid of any additives.

Noella, I found with Luci, he's more interested in the leafy stuff than the veggies. He loves mustard greens, he can eat a whole bowl of them! I've tried peppers and squash and sweet potato but he eats all around.

I bought green beans tonight, I'm going to see if he'll eat them if I cook them for him.
