I am currently using a 100 watt Powersun bulb which is about a year old now. Should the PowerSun bulbs get replaced about once a year like the linear bulbs? I don't have a UV meter so I am not sure what the output is.

Actually, with a 100 watt Powersun it's best to change them every 4-6 months. They are quite variable and decay pretty quickly.

I'd recommend keeping the Powersun you have for the UVA it's still producing, and adding a T5 linear fluorescent for UVB. You'll get a much broader area of exposure and save yourself some money.

Sorry I wasn't meaning to be flippant, rather just to say that this is one of those warranties they don't expect to get called on often. MVBs are not a great idea in general, but about the only brands worth the money are Arcadia and Mega Ray. Even then, I'd highly recommend multiple bulbs for different purposes over a single bulb to try to suit all needs.
