Power Outages

I'm thinking of getting a bearded dragon, however, I live in northern California and we are prone to power outages due to fires. During the day we are able to run a generator but during the night we are not. The lizard would have to go without heat for nine hours whenever we have a power shortage which usually can last for a couple of days up to a week. During this time, temperatures can drop to around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. I can give it a hot water bottle to sleep with and immediately turn on its heat lamp in the morning though. Is this okay for a bearded dragon

Anything to keep your dragon warm at night is a plus, whether its a hot water bottle, or snuggling up with you. During the day you can simply take your beardie outside and let him soak up some natural rays assuming its warm out enough. Just make sure he's either leashed, or in an enclosure of some type. You can also use and keep on hand animal safe heat packs. Similar to the ones they use to overnight ship reptiles.

Ok thank you, but will it be harmed by the drop in temperature?
