Power Outage - what to do for light & heat?

Hello there. I'm new here. We are first time Dragon lovers. We have one healthy and happy male ( about 2 years old).

We have been notified of an upcoming maintenance power outage where our power could be off from 8am-4pm and I am looking for ideas to keep my boy happy and warm during the outtage.

I've seen reptile heat packs and someone even said rent a generator (a generator is not realistic for us). Are there any other suggestions? Move him outdoors for the day? (In partial shade?)

We live inland in SoCal. It was 109 here today so I'm not sure heat will be an issue.

What might you guys do in this case? Just want to be prepared.

Thanks so much for any feedback!

I agree just leave him be inside and don't feed him until he can have his normal basking routine.. You could take him outside for short periods but that is way too hot for too long and for sure NOT while in the tank as you can super easily overheat him to dangerous levels.
