Hi there. My female beardie is 10 years old. But always been in good health and still seems to be.
But for the first time ever just today she is trying to poo and can't quite. Well alittle came out but certainly nothing like normal. But she was there ages wiggling and trying.
I gave her a bath and still the same.
She seems to of given up and calmed down now and seems fine.
But any advice to help her poo? I understand a
Warm Apple sauce could help??

Many thanks

Thank you for the reply! If she doesn't eat it ? Just put some on the end of her nose ?
You can thin it with a little water and drip a drop or two for her with a PLASTIC eyedropper. Another trick is to make your hand into a c shape, cup the top of her head..not too tight, gently pull down her lower lip, not her jaw, just enough to get the eyedropper there. Gently drip the dropper working from back of lip to front so she can taste it. That said...ha!! This is easier said than done. My dragon went into immediate lockjaw when I attempted this. He is a stubborn boy when he wants to be. I rubbed a teensy bit on the front of his lip...nope! But he must have gotten a taste, because after I gave up in frustration and shame, I glopped the (unthinned) whole teaspoon on top of his greens and left the room (he only eats greens when no one is looking lol). I came back into the room a minute later and all the pumpkin was gone! He pooped less than an hour later lol.
