1 1/2 year old bearded dragon. Starting a couple days ago he’s just been hiding in his cave and sitting/sleeping all day. He only comes out before night to sleep on his hammock. Could this be some sort of brumation or? Any help is appreciated thanks.

Temps in the tank and your UVB will cause this kind of behavior so we need to rule this out first -- please go over the lighting- stick ons are good for ambient temps but not surface basking temps- UVB coils are no good and inadequate --

All basking temps and lights are good and so is the UVB bulb. No coils in the tank setup.

Ok is the uvb a T 5 or a T 8 and where is the uvb top of screen. Inside the tank? How old is the bulb?

T5. Light strip is on top of he screen. Bulb is a couple months old.
So depending on the screen and tank size will determine where that UVB needs to be --- 120 /75 gallon inside the tank - smaller tanks it can sit on top 8-10 inches but the screen needs to be a wide hole screen -- distance inside the tank for larger sizes 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor on both accounts for distance

It should be good. One of my concerns is that when the sun goes down at like dusk he comes out of his cave and goes to sleep on his hammock. Do you have any reason why he’s kinda hiding from the sun?

Nothings changed in the past months. He’s been doing well and all of a sudden a couple days ago he starts acting like this. Basking bulb is reptizoo and it’s 100W.

Ok what about your temps? Tank ambient temp- ? How are you getting them? Once we determined its not the UVB or the temps it could be just him slowing down for the summer--- mine just came out of his hide yesterday he'd been there for about a week or so just sleeping etc -
