Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if dragons change their poop schedule? If so, when? My dragon is about 5-6 months old (assuming that he was only 5-6 weeks when we bought him) and he used to poop two time a day up until about 3-4 weeks ago. Now he poops about every other day, but a whooooooooole more. Any thoughts?

HI, well I cant say ALL Beardies do it, but Pogie does this, I've noticed when a shed is coming on, she will poop every second day. Other than that its daily.

She also hides more as she begins a shed, for about a day she will go under her basking platform and lie there till shes cold, come and heat up and go right back again, then she goes nuts as the skin starts to come off.

I think your poop schedule change is fine. Bernie was about a year old when he stopped going every day and switched to a couple of times a week and then slowed to once a week in a bath. As long as you don't see any behavioral changes, I think you are fine.

Thank you all very much and I have noticed the hiding as well, never knew it was connected to shedding.

Like I said, don't know if all BD's do it, but Pogie sure does. Guess they're like us, if they don't feel good, they don't want to be out and about and want to be left alone . . . LOL
