Poop Help

Ozzy has been acting normal, eating well and is currently shedding. She has an appointment on Tuesday because 1/8 inch of her tail came off with her shed and I want to make sure she doesn’t get an infection. I’m going to take a sample of her poop in with me.

I’m concerned because this poop was very slimy, almost looks green in some spots, and that red orange blob is new. It looks like little flecks off something on the orange part. Have any of you seen one like this? Any ideas?

The poop does look healthy the sliminess could be from being well hydrated. It’s not diarrhea so she’s not over hydrated. Because she’s shedding I’m assuming you’re probably giving her a few extra baths which is hydrating her well. For the red part could be something she ate previously it doesn’t look to be of concern at all. You can bring it to the vet usually they have a fecal sample kit and they test fresh poop but you can still try and bring it in and see if they can sample that one. If they send you home with a fecal kit I don’t know if they’ll suggest this but my vet told me to take a samples of more than one poop. This is because sometimes if she does have a parasite or worm or something it may not always be present in every poop the take or more in one than the other so it will help give a more accurate sample. Hope she’s doing well and sorry to hear about her tail
