Hello all, I am not new to the bearded dragon keeping hobby, but I always like having a second-hand opinion on my enclosures before I put my reptile into their new home. I am getting a new 3 year old bearded dragon this weekend and i'd like to share with you information about the tank and receive some feed-back to make sure it is all correct.
Enclosure
The enclosure is a 75 gallon enclosure (until I order another Zen Habitats enclosure, my current dragon is in one right now and loves it!). The current substrate I am using is shelf-liner and it is non-adhesive. The rank ranges from 75 degrees cool-side, to 80-85 degrees warm side.
She has a hide under her basking hammock, and a hide on the side where there are no lights in the enclosure.
Basking Info
Currently using the 100 Watt ReptiBasking Bulb, placed 6" above the basking decor which is a hammock, and temperatures are reaching 92 degrees, yet I am still struggling to get to that 100 -105 degrees point. I am taking the temperature with a temp-gun.
UVB Info
The UVB Light I am using is a ReptiSun T5 Linear and the fixture is the 24" with the 22" bulb. It is placed over the basking decoration 6" above the basking decoration. One half of the tank has no lights so she can fully escape them when she wants to.
Other Info
I have offered her with tons of enrichment opportunities such as cool fake plants, climbing logs, and a soft small-animal bed. She also has a food-bowl inside the enclosure.
Please let me know if there is anything that needs changing or if there is anything I am doing incorrectly. We all make mistakes no matter how long we've been in the hobby so it is always best to double check with other keepers!
