Please help

I'm a new bearded dragon owner.
I was on Craigslist searching for a lizard tank and came across the posting for a bearded dragon with tail rot and the gentleman had posted she was $10.00 with tank lights and if nobody came to get her in 48 hrs he was going to have her put to sleep.i did some research and seen that she didn't have to be put to sleep that she would just need surgery. So I paid the $10.00 to get her and I am trying to get her the surgery she needs. I am a pet lover as so are my kids. Aja is sick and with out surgery she could eventually die myself and kids are saving every penny we have to help her get the surgery she needs. She is currently on an antibiotic and a pain reliever we took her to the vet on Saturday right after we picked her up. We are asking for your help to help us get the surgery she needs a friend told me about go fund me. I am humbling myself to use it to help save her. Allie is my dragon. She's been through a lot of things.

I appreciate it I have posted it there as well we picked her up on Saturday and you can tell she wasn't taken care of very well we feed her and she ate like she hasn't eaten in days! Just couldn't see her being put to sleep over tail rot so we're doing what we can to help her.

They'll probably have to amputate the part of the tail. She probably hasn't eaten in days. People are very careless and uneducated about these reptiles. They require a lot of care. She'll need a lot of care to get back to her health. It's not easy. They heal slowly and take time to get over sicknesses.

Is the tail rot serious?

The gentleman said she lost about an inch already. And you can see about another half inch is really dried up and hard. She still is eating good and active so we have great hope for her but the surgery to have part of her tail amputated is a lot. And we're trying to do all we can to help her. I'm gonna try to call PETA tomorrow and see if they can be of any help.

Ouch. Poor baby girl. She's got some serious tail rot happening to her tail. Did the gentlemen ever tell you how she got tail rot?

I just had my males tail lazered off because of tail rot. It was a fairly simple surgery but not for the Beardie. It cost $300 for the visit and the antibiotics.

I would ask the vet that I would have my Beardie going to on a regular basis if they could help since this is a rescue situation. They might be willing to help?
