I want to plant/grow some vegetation so she can eat right from the plant. When outside she occasionally attacks the cloves. Does anyone know what plants a BD eats in the wild?

On the beautiful dragons nutrition chart there is a list of plants and flowers they can eat...it's at the bottom of the chart.

I would love to do this! Sadly I was born with a black thumb, and everything I try to grow dies...even the supposedly hard to kill spider plants. Sigh. My 17 yo wants to grow a garden. I think I will let him and see how he does, maybe we can finally have nice veggies for a change. Funny that we live in the country and our stores have nasty looking veggies all the time.

Maybe I can grow weeds? LOL. I guess we'll try that too. I do know I can't find them in the salad section of our Walmart.

I can only find dandelion leaves at Whole Foods. Our normal grocery store sells mustards an collards but they are always hit or miss. I've learned I have to dig to the back of the display to get the fresh ones. I'm sure it makes produce guys mad!

I have an Aerogarden, I think I'm going to get it set up again and see what I can grow.

It has a nutrient that you add to the water to help things grow and the lights are real bright. When I tried to grow the dandelion I didn't use the nutrient, I think that's why they didn't grow. I didn't think the nutrient was safe but then I figured if I was okay eating the plants, they should be too. I guess as long as you don't use a pesticide you're good(?).

I guess this helps with the original question....I grew "tea" plants and used the nutrient and they grew like crazy! I had so much left over that I did feed them to my dragons. I can't remember all of the plants involved but they were all herbs. There was a spearmint, lemon balm and lemon mint. There might have been lavender too but that never sprouted.
