PIX Magazine Photo Comp

Hi there,

I subscribe to an online mag and they host a bi-weekly photo comp. This weeks theme is COFFEE and the prize is a camera bag.
My 1st time entering as Ive only been a subscriber for about a week now.
These are my 2 entries.
Whatcha think?

I personally like the second one, best. It captures stillness and motion at the same time. I like that the bubbles in the coffee cup complement those in the bottle. The second one also appears cleaner as the focus in the first seems to be on the whipped cream only....leaving the spoon, bottle and platter out of focus. To me, it just seems the depth of field is much clearer in the second....this is especially noticable with the text on the bottle.

Wow great photography. In my opinion the second one looks nicer and more appealing to me. In the first one you can't so much tell it's coffee as the second one, plus it just makes me want a cup even though I'm not a huge fan of coffee. Sorry if it sounds like I'm butting in or anything but great pics!
