Peculiar behaviour

The aquariums our BDs are in are right next to each other, but there is tile on one side of one tank. Today, our male began acting quite strangely. He dug out most of the sand on one end of the tank, and was standing up on that side. I know he can't see her, but is it possible that he can smell her from the tank?

If that was the case, I think we would all experience something similar. Sometimes they sleep like that just because. You got a cute one, though.

Thanks. He's not sleeping. That was the middle of the afternoon. He was spazzing out for about 20 minutes before that. Beard out, bobbing like crazy, then glass dancing like that. I just thought my female was putting off something that he could smell, or something. Lol

My female does that. Lol.
I still don't think that has anything to do with it if he can't see her.

Try papering all around but not the front, to see if maybe he saw her from a reflection or something.

Thanks. Great idea. Right now there's just some vinyl tile over the glass between the exclosures, and the background paper on his. Just the tile on hers.

For lack of a better word, I thought maybe he was horny or something. Lol
