I've been stumped lately as to why people choose to use PayPal over just putting in their credit card info to a credit card processor (a secure/legit one). I personally prefer to just put in my credit card info to a legit processor than have to deal with PayPal. What are your thoughts and preferences?

i have done both.. for me it's easier to go through the paypal for most of my 'supply' purchases from private persons.. such as yourself, Candice.

they "think" using paypal gives them a guarantee i guess. I'm also pretty sure that some people don't have credit cards.

I now do both.
I have paypal used for my store on the website because its webs.com preferred system ( I think) But as of today I now have a wireless credit card machine to offer to my customers.

At risk of showing how lazy I truly am

My computer sits on the coffee table by the couch. My wallet is on the other end of the house in the bedroom. Typically when I decide to make a purchase online my wallet is not with me and I have to choose between getting up and walking to the bedroom, getting my card, coming back, typing it in, and taking the card back, or quickly logging into paypal and hitting send, paypal wins out. Cause I am a tad on the lazy side.

Most stores will allow you to set up a "profile" and let you store preferred cards. I've had to dispute a couple charges with paypal and nothing was resolved. I allow both methods at my store but I've noticed people like paypal. I personally can't stand it.

Is this going to be for use at shows and what not? how much is it? I could only imagine the setup price and what not.

A leased machine runs about 47 a month.
To buy it outrite is 700 to 800 dollars. the service is then 13 a month
Swipped cards run 1.49% plus .20 cents per transaction.
