When dragons go for walks on a harness/leash, they often like hunting for tasty things to nibble. Does anybody know of a list compiled to provide info on what wild plants [and insects] it's okay to let your dragon eat while outside?
The list of plants on www.beautifuldragons has some wild plants mixed in, but it's missing some that they might be tempted by.

so, 1) here are some additional ones my dragon likes: buttercups, butter-and-eggs, bluets, forgetmenots.

2) i'd be curious to know if anyone knows about whether it's okay to let a dragon eat these: St. Johnswort, blackeyed susans, solomon's seal, arrowhead, ladyslipper, jack in the pulpit, charlock, sorrel, honeysuckle [flowers], and wild mint, aster, or sorrel, and wild strawberry [flowers]

PS has anyone else noticed their dragons being particularly attracted to any flower that's YELLOW ?

I wouldn't allow them to feed on random plants, whether approved or not, as you don't know what chemicals have been used near them ( the plants).

Also, they like yellow cause.... dandelions ;)

yes, of course, but random plants isn't the same thing as random locations -- in my case for example, it's my yard, and i use no chemicals -- someone who posts on another forum has a 9 yr. old healthy dragon but never has to buy dandelions, because there's plenty in their yard. (-:

But the fact we are saying is even though you don't use any chemicals your neighbor 2 miles away may! When it rains all those chemicals don't just get washed down they also spread else where!! I red somewhere that it can travel up to a 5 mile radius! I always say why take the chance! Good luck...

yes, it's true that our environment [earth, air, water] is choking on chemicals -- but the veggies you buy are grown in the same [planet Earth] environment, unless you stick to hydroponically grown greenhouse produce.

I learned when I went to school, oh yeaaaaaaaaaars ago, that chemicals used for pesticides and fertilizers can stay in the soil, for 7 years.
