It is such a great feeling! We've got lots of work to do, but I think it will pay off. I've done exhausting amounts of research the past couple days! I feel well equipped to handle it though :)

She was sick beyond my capabilities do deal with :'( mbd also the vet said.... she's in a FABULOUS home with a very experienced tegu keeper. A good friend if mine with resources to make her all better. I feel terrible, but I had surgery today also, and I just couldn't provide the level of intensive care she needed. I get to visit whenever I want, and get daily updates. She's in good hands. I never get rid of any of pets, so this was a very hard decision to make. Ultimately she is far better off now.

We did acquire a baby leopard gecko though. My son was heartbroken to give her up, so my friend was kind enough to let us take him home with us :) plus we have our sweet Nacho :) what a perfect little boy he's turning out to be! He played in bed with me for while when I came home from the hospital :) loves cuddles and kisses on his cute little beard lol

Sorry you had to give her up but it's good she went somewhere that can give her the extensive care she needs. Plus you get to visit her! Leopard geckos are very cute with their constant little smile.

Hope your surgery was nothing serious.

Thanks....hurt my feelings to let her go, but its best for her...and the gecko is precious. Wanted one for s while, but I wanted the Beardie more lol...just gallbladder removal. Sore though, so my son is responsible for the reptile care while I'm down. So proud of him for doing such a great job. He's only 9, so I always oversee all the care.... Nice to know he pays attention :)
