Hello everyone! I'm a botanist in the PNW that plans
on breeding ball pythons, at the moment I have five
and just today got to rescue a bearded dragon that I
have always wanted..originally the neighbors have
been trying to sell her to me since I'm the reptile guy,
like 200 upfront originally, but today she just sternly
goes 'want that dragon? you can take it.' And for 50 to
be payed later instead of 200 upfront? Turns out they
were tired of taking care of it, and the cats even crawled
inside using their sand as a litterbox (yeah, sand alone
is a no-no I already know). My buddy joked around with
me that the kids watching the dragon believed since
they're desert animals they don't need water. LMFAO!!

I'm going to get pictures of her up as soon as I can because
I want to identify what morph she is, apparently a female,
but very pretty... from what I know of ball python morphs
she seems like a hypomelanistic animal but there's a little
darkness in the claws, while most of them are clear. Hypo
beards apparently have all clear claws. So I want to find out.

My ball collection so far is a breeder sized Ghost female, my
3-gene Mojave Spider Pinstripe, my 2-gene Butter Pastel girl,
my regular female who's unique enough to be an unproved
dinker at the moment, and my Enchi male that's possibly het
Piebald. I can get some pictures of them later if wanted guys.

Most of these pics are old cept the last one which
is her in a trace-like sleepiness after munching a
few blueberries...num num..collard greens and
squash for you from now on!! She's very lovely

TL;DR version: I rescued this beard from terrible
conditions, what is the lineage of this beard morph?

She's loving it here...ahaha so much different
than my ball pythons I can let her relax on the
desk while doing laundry then come back and
she's still chilling there lethargically, balls you
can't let alone or unseen for a second before
you never see them again lmao. So what morph
do you think is going on here? I'm assuming some
kind of dunner morph from what I've researched
so far, but I need a solid confirmation from you
bearded dragon people..I'm just a ball morph guy!

So I think she might be a dunner..any guesses??

We once left Dexter on the back of the couch while we ran an errand, she never moved and the cats didn't even realize she was there, LOL!

I don't really know anything about morphs. I know my girl Dexter is a hypo because she has all clear nails but that is where my knowledge ends. From what I've read about Dunner's I think their stripes run down the tail instead of across.

I don't trust either of mine as far as I can spit! When the're not brumating they're all over the place

Is it possible my beard is brumating?
She isn't like, totally inactive, in her
enclosure she scrambles around but
on my desk she's all knocked out
chilling for hours, I'm about to put
her away though. I'm mainly wondering
what beard morph she is, this is crucial
to me. I'd love to know if anyone guesses.

Welcome to your new addiction. She i's a nice normal although the double stripes are interesting. Not trans or hypo and I see no dunner markers. As far as balls you have a really nice start, I hope you can catch up to me soon.......I have 30

In the citrus leatherback video, while I saw that
she wasn't a leatherback, I certainly think more
that she's a citrus. I believe this mainly from the
patches of grey to the left and right of shoulder
blades.. also her next to a male regular they have
there, is like night and day. I assume regular cuz
very very dark compared to her, lots of browns &
darker colors. I really enjoy my beard, what morphs
are you working with when it comes to your royals?

Black pastel, ax, woma, disco, fire, vanilla, green pastel, spinner blast (yes I know 3 genes) granite, champaign, caramel, phantom and some BEL complex for the most part

Nice I'm working on getting some piebald and clown stuff,
what also interests me are the leopard, trick, mahogany, &
blackhead genes. I'd love a GHI combo and YB/woma/fader
combo also..don't forget orange dream! I saw a single gene
OD female for 500 bucks recently, so just one of these days
I'll be able to get a nice OD combo of genes I'm trying to get.

SO I'm starting to think she may be a Gold Bearded Dragon
shown from the grey near her shoulder, I really want more
input though I don't want to be wrong OH AND ONE MORE
THING she puffed out her beard to my teacup chihuahua lol,
it turned pitch black...which yellow bearded dragon morph
has a pitch black beard when it's puffed out? Also I'm picking
up a very similar male today with a black beard and he's more
yellow than my female. Hoping to make super whatevers lol.

Gold and super are just terms to sell more dragons. If you are going to need for profit you want a strong red male. Dont listen to anything describing color with dragons. Things to listen for are: hypo, translucent, dunner, rainbow, silverback, micro scale, wittblit, and spotted dunner.....I may have forgot something.

There are 2 that can breed with regular dragons called rankins (think of them as mini dragons) and vittikins (result of rankin and normal and the are about halfway between rankin and normal in size). If you are interested I'm trying for spotted dunner vittikins next year.

As far as the beard they do that as a defense mechanism, nothing wrong your cat just freaked her out.

Yeah i'm trying for clown and pied stuff. I have a yellowbelly girl going to my black pastel boy this year, my womas will go next year (trying for worlds first pastel caramel wonder). I might be getting a leopard pin this week and orange dream I dont like. I'm hunting for harlequin but nobody has any :'(

This male is so feisty, the old owners named
him Butthead..he lashes towards puffed and
hissing at everyone but me. I love it ahahah!
Not sure why he likes me enough to not hiss.
I'll keep strong reds in mind..he's not bad too!
