Hello everyone,
Today I tried syringe feeding my beardie water and it worked! My question is would it be ok if I gave her water through a syringe daily to make sure she has enough water intake? She won't drink out of a small water dish I give her and I don't think the water from her greens is enough for her.

You don’t need to give her water from a syringe . When they get a bath or get misted they ebzord the water from around them.

Too much water daily -- if you want to give water that way once a week I would suggest- watch the poops -- you want the poop to look dark formed and moist- urate white formed and moist -- any extra will be secreted -- if the poops become runny that could be from too much watery veggies like squash or if your feeding lettuce please stop romaine is ok but not ice berg that can cause diarrhea --

I tend to give my guy water via a syringe sometimes. He's misted daily and bathed every 3 days, but I watch his poo and his skin. If it looks like he's getting a little less hydration than normal though these venues, I'll give him a bit of water with a syringe. Not something I have to do daily, though.

Franks dad who told you this? Lol , they dont absorb water (unless ur talking about the vent, which idk if they can pull in water from there, ive only heard rumors) they Channel water to their mouths , if you look up “thorny devil” its lizard that take this to the extreme by channeling a drop of water from its back to it’s mouth.

What sadie and barb said is right a little too much water, if you want to give 75% of a syringe every other day i think that’d be fine amount? , i mist my beardies lips every other day till she opens her mouth then i spray a bunch of water in her mouth, it is proper to monitor water intake and find a happy medium :)

I never used syringes with Zontar. I spritzed his salad, veggies and fruits prior to serving. He received 1-2 baths every week. I misted him sometimes or sprayed droplets on his nose so he licked the drops. If he drank up the drops quickly, I knew he was thirsty so I put water in a large container and would put him in so he could lap it up at his pace.

Geez my guy's a fussy one. I rinse of his pieces before I combine them into salad each time, but I have to give everything a really shake. If they are too wet, he won't eat them. lol
