Hi Everyone,

I love my beardie but im not going to lie. Spyro's poop absolutely stinks. I have had to evacuate my bedroom to sleep on the sofa a couple of nights because the smell just lingers.

I do a complete disinfectant clean every week, but that's not the issue.

Can anyone recommend a plant, or something to pur in the Viv just to take the edge off it? I'm starting to think about dangling an air freshener round her bum!

LOL! The other day I kept hearing my male trying to scratch and get out. When I walked by him I smelled why! He stunk himself out. Usually it goes away a little while after I clean it up. I have seen deodorizer out there but have never used any. Maybe some baking soda next to her tank will absorb some odors they have these neat fridge packs that might work.

I picked up a couple of charcoal pouches from Ever Bamboo. they come with a cover - I just lay them in the tank. for really bad stinks I use a combination of essential oils - (I buy Thieves Oil blend from Young Living - and dilute it with water). My boy just does little poops so his aren't too bad. my girl saves hers up so she doesn't poo in her viv !

Yea dragon poop really can pack a punch that's for sure...First off have you had his fecal tested for parasites? that can cause stinky poop. If that's all clear get some probiotics that will help with tummy issues.

Hdrydr31 - 2,222 posts. Very symmetrical!

Maybe some Gas-Ex will help the stink? Don't shout at me - it was just a joke.

No joke - maybe a scented candle. It can't be any worse than my grand-baby's 12 ounces of green liquid poop every time I'm left alone with him.

I would get the poop tested. It shouldn't clear the house out when they go. My girl Dolly was like that when she went. I could smell it when I walked into the house. She would then get some of the liquid on her and then she would smell horrible. I had her poop tested and she had pinworms. We treated her and now she is smelling good again!
