Nutritional value of adult black soldier flies

I've been feeding Draeju BSFL as his staple feeder and set aside the pupae to mature into to adult flies (which he attacks with gusto and prefers over the larvae). Does anyone know the nutritional value of the adult soldier fly? I'm wondering if they are similar to the mature/black grubs, especially soon after they emerge from the casings. They only live a week after that so I know their nutritional values rapidly drop every day as they exhaust their stored reserves.

That is a real good question. I don't think there is much nutritional value, I do know people feed them to their beardies. Its a good way to provide enrichment. I really don't know what the nutritional value is.

I have not found any nutritional value on the adult flies. The BSFL is probably just getting boring for him and he wants to hunt. Maybe if you sub in some more active feeders for him to give him a variety.

Thanks. The adult flies certainly keep him entertained (witnessed some amazing and impressive aerial acrobatics while catching them). I just haven't been able to find any info about their actual nutrition. I have been dusting them with calcium/vitamins for the most part, but not every time.

Dubai roaches seem to peak mines interest but I know some states have them illegal.
