My little buddy escobar is about 7 months old and he has stopped moving around and eating lately (a little over a week) and he tends to be staying on the cold side of his tank and only moving to readjust when the lights go out just wondering what it could be or if i should be worried I read something about brumation? But I'm not sure any help is appreciated

First besides the stick on gauge are you using anything else to get basking temps? If not please get a digital probe thermometer place on the spot where he basks wait 10 min get temp -- it should be 95-100-- next the screen on the tank is a fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type ---? What brand and bulb of UVB are you using --- this makes all the difference of effectiveness of the rays --- your dragon will not eat if not correct --

Dragons under a year do not brumate --- unless they are really big like over 300 + grams -- but it is not normal for a baby/ juvenile to brumate

The 5.0 is equivalent to a T 8 -- it needs to be inside the tank w/ NO screen or cover over the bulb -- distance should be 6-8 inches directly above him -- please adjust --- what size is the tank specifically how tall is the tank? If your tank is 16+ inches please invest in a 24" UVB fixture like a Zoo Med or a Sunblaster or a Arcadia Pro T 5 --- the fixture you have now is for a T 8 bulb strictly or is it like this one https://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/light-fixtures/products/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-hood this one comes w/ a 5.0 bulb -- this fixture will take a 10.0 T 5 bulb --
please invest in one of these temp gauges https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...rometers/products/zoo-med-digital-thermometer get two of them one for basking side and cool side you also need a hygrometer https://www.chewy.com/exoterra-led-...MI19mK1dqX8wIVWz2tBh2dmgbYEAQYAiABEgK1iPD_BwE place the probe on the back wall of the tank it will read the whole tank -- optimal humidity is 30-50% you dont want it under 20 or over 70%
You can weigh him on a kitchen food scale weigh in grams --

Your 35 gallon tank needs to be upgraded here real soon --- 75-120 gallon tank w/ front doors recommended -- either remove the screen or you can hang the fixture w/ this https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-15-ft-Cable-Ties-Hook-and-Loop-Spool-Black-10375/304220195
this stuff works great its like a Velcro strap cut in to strips wrap around the fixture -- get the UVB situated first then get a piece of decor and place under it 6-8 inches the Velcro strap or strip is easy to adjust -
