Normal Tail Coloration?

Hello.

I’m wondering if this coloration looks okay. The first picture is from today. It looks like he’s shedding but he already shed his tail a couple weeks ago (followed by his body). The second picture was taken about a week ago (also after first shed), and looks dark toward the tip, fading lighter toward his body.

Not seen in this picture is the very TIP of his tail was crusty (almost looked like gray ashes), as if he was nipped before we received him, but it never looked inflamed. The tip fell off at some point, but it still looks crusty right at the tip.

Obviously my concern is tail rot but I have no idea if that’s what we’re dealing with.

Ya look at frank tail right now. If any part of the bony look light most likely I just mena they will shed there.
