Hi,

Q for you all, has me a wee bit confused.

Night temps can drop to 65F / 18C right . . . .
This cooling down is needed for their metabolism to function properly right . . . .

NOW

The temps here now drop to 51F / 11C which is too cold. So I use a heat emitter. That keeps the temps between 71F / 22C and 78F / 26C. Thus she doesn't cool down enough . . . or does she. How cold should they get for the above to work right. Should I try to switch on the emitter a bit later to make the night temps go down more or is it OK as is?

Bearing in mind its only the beginning of winter and the temps usually go down to 37F / 3C in a month or so

To be honest, low 70's aren't bad. I would think as long as Pogie acts and eats normally, this isn't a problem.. And as you pointed out, it's early winter for you..
Hope that helps !

Yeah, seems pretty normal. Spends her days mostly basking and in the hot side, goes under the platform to cool off and then back again. Eating me out of house and home, shedding CONSTANTLY . . . About every 8-10 days. Pooping 1-2 times a day. VERY calm and all the aggression is gone
