Sparky is 9 months old and getting so big. We decided to make a habitat for him from an entertainment unit. He lives it but we want to add a few fake cactus plants for color. Any safe suggestions?

That habitat is gorgeous! I love the background.

For fake plants, you can pick them up at dollar and craft stores. Just make sure they weren't painted with anything toxic and don't have sharp edges. If you want something that is guaranteed safe, you can get them from pet stores, but they'll be more expensive. You can also make your own (less realistic) ones with foam and nontoxic paint.

A bit of criticism on your setup:
Move the light fixture over to one end of the tan to establish a heat gradient. If there is a coil or compact UVB light in the fixture, it's safest to remove it. In order to thrive he'll need a Reptisun 10.0 or an Arcadia 12% tube.

I know. We just ordered the Reptisun tubes and fixture. Thank you.
