We are just finishing up our vivarium and hope to have a Beardie by late July or early Aug. I have been researching, trying to learn as much as possible before we bring one home. Thought I would get on a forum for more info and to check out what is working for others. We want to provide a safe, long life home for our new family member.

I do have one question, when using fake rocks (I am making them) what is the best way to keep their nails filed? the one thing I haven't seen much of other than rocks in the viv

Lot's of people use slate tile as their substrate and that helps keep their nails filed. I have a few slate rocks in both my tanks. Dexter (my older dragon) has bark turtle hides that she climbs on and her nails don't seem as sharp. Either the bark helps or I'm just used to her nails.
