I feed him meal worms and kale this is a 50 gallon terrarium I have a uv bulb I only picked him up once I sing and talk to him when I picked him up I know when he’s scared I only held him for a little while
The guy at the petstore said thats the kind of bulb they use for there dragons in the storeWhat kind of bulb is that? Ive never seen a round uv bulb before, you need to messure his tank temps with a digital probe thermometer, he needs it hott! Cool side should be 70-80f hot side should be 90-105f , i dont think that bulb is quality , you want a bar light uvb bulb, it needs to cover 70% of the enclosure aswell

This his terrarium is it to bigOk... i would feed more than mealworms. They arent a good staple. Try dubia roaches or crickets. A 75 gallon is the minimum size for an adult beardie. You need ReptiSun T5 HO Light Fixture | Pangea Reptile | Zoo Med as a UVB reflector hood. And you need a 10.0 T5HO reptisun TUBE bulb orr an arcadia bulb. As for substrate idk if what you have is ok, i think its better for non adhesive shelf liner or tile. DOnt feed kale as a staple i would use Collard greens or mustard greens instead you can still feed kale though just not as a staple. Also dont listen to the people at the pet stores. Mine has beardies and one is an adult have had him since a hatchingling. They keep him in a 40 gal. Use Coil uvbs and the poor lizard looks terrible! So it is key to have a good setup
Shes a grandma so any help needs to be easy for her, I believe the beardie is older than a yearNope not to big t all. May i ask what the measurment are LxWxH
People from pet stores arnt always accurate with their knowledge, if u can unscrew the bulb gently and tell me if theres any writing on it that’d help, those types of bulbs can be okay, but really your lizard needs a bar light UVB bulb , meal worms are okay, but crickets and roaches are the most healthy overall, does zues eat veggies? A few things you might need for zues , #1a tube uvb bulb (Click here for uvb) i just bought this light a month ago, I really like them , #2 calcium supplement with D3 theres some on the website that has the lighting, does zues’ ligh come on automatically or do you have to turn them on? It might be best to get a wall timer so you dont have to turn lights on and off, im very happy that you took on your grandsons lizard, they can be a lil fussy to take care of but it can be very rewarding, beardies have been known to show affection, not quite how a dog loves you , more like a cat with sandpaper all over its body, ill have to say zues does look healthy, so he must of been getting proper care fro ur gson, if you can write us a lil paragraph for how he’s being currently cared for that’d help us to critique anything that may need changingThe guy at the petstore said thats the kind of bulb they use for there dragons in the store
