I'm new to the forum and slightly new to beardies. I have had my beardie Hershel for about 2 months now. And the start was pretty rough on all of us as I knew nothing about them I quickly learned and fixed everything and now he is a very happy and content little baby. He is missing his tail, and it was missing when he was given to me. I'm not sure male or female but we named him Hershel and just call him a boy. He got totally spoiled yesterday when I went to a reptile convention he got a nice branch, a bed and a collar (that he still has to grow into). And we got him more dubia roaches to add to his breeding colony.

You may not know if its a boy or a girl for awhile i would say lift the tail up but thats hard for you to do. If he develops little bumps at the base of the tail its a boy. If not girl. My boy didnt drop his till 8 months or so. Hes gorgeous! Any questions drop us a line!
