Hello,
My name is Eric, and we just picked up or new BD. It's about 8" long and is eating well. we have it in a 40B tank with a 30" zilla uvb. As for heat we tossed the 75watt heat bulb and went to a 75 watt slime flood lamp. This light seems to put out more heat per watt. We are using fake grass carpet from OSH for the flooring. Pics should be up soon.

Maybe do the upgrade to Tapatalk 4, I rarely use it, but that is what I have on my portables, recently upgraded from version 2 to 4.

10-4. Thanks for the help germ. I do have a bd question. For a 8" dragon how many crickets should I order or by a week? It seems as If he eats 10 large a day is this too many? W has eating 30 tiny ones so we switched to large. They are a little bigger than his eye gap.

Different BDs have different appetitites, so to give a number is difficult. 150-200/week was about my average when I was feeding Crix. Small, medium & large are just relative terms, depends what they are being compared to. e.g.: A dragon is large to an ant, but tiny to an elephant. There are many stores selling 5/8" crix as large, when in my opinion they are barely even mediums. The rule of thumb about not feeding anything bigger than the space between the eyes, although a good one, is just a guide line. The rule of thumb doesn't say which dimension, the length or the width, should be compare to the space between they eyes. If it is the length, there are very few worms that we could feed. I have always gone by the narrowest dimension. My youngsters have gobbled down some pretty large roaches that would dwarf most adult crix. Vids on my website by clicking my signature area.

10 'Large'r crix per day does not sound like too many ...

That's what I was thinking but after about 10 3/4" Crix he or she is done. I do also dust cabbage for it. That goes pretty quick.
