Hey everyone! I'm from the UK and love animals. I have been keeping reptiles for over 3 years now my first was a leopard gecko and I'm super excited because after nearly 2 years of wanting one I finally feel ready to have a bearded dragon :)

I initially thought of one as a first pet before our leopard gecko but was really put off by the bugs and since beardies love bigger bugs that put me off so we got our leopard gecko instead. Well needless to say we have been hooked ever since and have expanded our collection to crested geckos, african pygmy hedgehogs, kingsnakes, cornsnakes, hognose snakes and even house snakes. As I found it more easy to deal with the bugs I considered again the idea of getting a beardie but as i didnt have the cash to get the proper setup i decided to leave it (rather do it right than squash a poor beardie into a tiny home!)

Well i have been saving up and have the money for home, decor, lighting, i even have heating already sorted out so I feel like this is it my time to finally own one and I can't wait.

I have tonnes of questions still and can't wait to learn so much about these amazing creatures, my friend has one and she is awesome!

thanks Pat - been a long wait but a worthwhile wait I reckon - making inquiries at the moment, my setup is up and running to test the temp all out so all I need is finally my dragon :)

That is a very smart thing to do. I learned the hard way. Did no research and my beardie and supplies descended upon me. It was a struggle but that little rascal lightens my life!! Post some pics when you get him....enjoy!!
