Hey I'm new to the forum I have been looking into getting a bearded dragon for a while for breeding purposes but now I just want one as a pet I breed leopard geckos and now I'd just like an interesting new pet I'd just like to know some of the basics to keeping a bearded dragon such as enclosure size and what I need to have in the enclosure as well as any tips anyone has that aren't so commonly known

Hi Tristan.

Adult beardies should have a minimum of a 40g tank larger is even better but 40 is just fine. They need a basking light and a UV source. I like the ReptiSun T5 10.0 HO bulbs. They do have an all in one basking UV bulb but I prefer to keep it separate. Unlike leopard geckos they don't need a heat pad and they don't need a moist hide or a bowl of calcium powder.

Do you have any specific questions? I don't know about breeding but can answer questions about other things.
