Hi my name is Dale and I'm getting a bearded dragon for Christmas. I'm very excited it's very young I don't know the sex but it's a hypo melanistic bearde I picked it out today and pay for it tommorrow. Like I said I'm very excited it been a couple of years sence I've cared for reptiles. It looks like it's got a lot of reds on it and some splotches of red on its cheeks from the pictures of baby bear dies I've seen it looks to be no older than 2 months. I'm waiting to bring it home because I need an enclosure and UV heat lamp but when I get it I'll post some pics. P. S. If anybody on hear knows where I can get a 30 gallon long tank and UV heat lamp cheaper I'd appreciate knowing where to get it. Thanks Dale.

Welcome, Dale. Excited for you. Re: tank - take a look on Craigslist. Sometimes pet stores will have them on sale $1.00 per gallon. Have you had beardies before? You can definitely find tons of stuff on craigslist all the time.
Also I know some shops (not the national chains) will have used tanks for sale much cheaper than new.

Well it's going to be awhile before I get my baby. I got laid off Friday and cash will probably be a little tight the price of the bearde wasn't the issue they are really good quality animal just 40 bucks but terrarium a good UV light. Well I've been disappointed so many times in the last few years I'll get through this one too. I guess I'll look at pics of everybody else's.

Sorry to hear that but at least this way when you are able you will have more info making things great for an addition. Hang in there and best of luck finding what you need.

Sorry to hear you won't be getting your beardie soon. I am glad however that you are realizing that now isn't the time to add one to your family because you won't be able to properly care for it just yet. I've seen so many people lately that make these impulse buys and don't do their research or don't realize the long term cost involved in caring for them. You'll get one soon and when you do you will be completely prepared for it
