Hi! I adopted my 3 year old femal bearded dragon from a reduce about a week ago. I absolutely love her and just want the best for her! I am a little confused/overwhelmed with the conflicting information about food and substrate so any ideas/opinions are more than welcome! My girl is pretty skinny so I'm a little worried about that. I'm excited to be a part of the dragon community!

Welcome to the forum. Looks like she can use some protein to add some weight. Taking her outside certainly helps. Any pics of her enclosure would be helpful in determining what else she may need.

Welcome to the zoo! There are some really smart and experienced people here (not me) and I'm sure you'll get great advice. Even here, though, some people disagree on protocol so be prepared for that.

Thank you! Here is a picture of her setup so far. I have a hammock and background coming soon.

She is beautiful! Welcome to the club. As already mentioned this is an amazing place to get really good advice and tips. A few of the more experienced members have put together some great information for newbies and those who just would like to know more which can be found on here. They also answer questions and concerns very quickly. Congrats on your new Beardie!

Welcome to the forum and welcome to being a beardie owner!! Good for you for rescuing her!!! As stated above a few of us have put together info on general care and you will find it below a few of our comments.. (if you are using taptalk you won't see the links so let us know) You can also find the info in the general care section at the top.
Yea there will be things that are big on what works and what doesn't and it really comes down to each dragon and how they are.
Feel free to ask whatever you need and we do try to get to ?'s quickly..

Welcome!

A good way to get weight on her is syringe feeding repti boost. Did wonders for my skinny girl. Vet said it's not very complete (that's all my girl was eating though) but it really boosted her weight!

Still have some weight to gain, but it really helped in the beginning. And she seemed to like it
