new beardy feeding issues

I just purchased my first dragon from petsmart he is super friendly and very clingy loves sleeping on my shoulder outside but he isnt eating much i tried romaine lettuce the first day he didnt really take to that but loves cucumbers my issue is he will not eat any type of worm and crickets are very hard to get any ideas?

They should have crickets at Petsmart. What were they feeding him at petsmart? Perhaps go online and purchase some Dubai or crickets. I buy crickets and superworms online. They need greens rich in calcium like turnip greens that you can get at just about any grocery store.

Congratulations on your new dragon! Take a look at the links below several of our comments they will take you to a link that is filled in info including 2 links for food items.. Romaine lettuce really doesn't have much to offer them nutrition wise, cuc's are really good for constipated dragons but is a occas food item and you need to remove seeds and skin.
Dubia, superworms, silkworms, butterworms, phoenix worms, waxworms are all really good options crickets can be bought at most pet stores.. all of these can be bought online cheaper..

Make sure your lighting and heat temps are good as that will affect your dragon's appetite. Baby dragon's more protein than greens as they are growing..

Ok thank you for the info guys ill get some greens and im in search for crickets its a 1 and a half our drive to petsmart where i got him ive owned snakes and predatory fish thinking im better off raising my own crickets once i purchase them and ill look into dubais i appreciate the help

Well my beardie is now top notch he is always glued to me excited when i walk into the room and full! He has started his first shed since i got him and thanks for all the great tips on veggies he is eating the house out lol
