New Beardie Question

Hi. I just brought home a new beardie. Looks super healthy, excellent appetite and growing the first week I have had him.

question: when I pick him up he has a bit of attitude. Runs around to not be held the Open his mouth like he wants to bite but doesn’t. I make sure to handle him every day. Is that normal behavior of a baby beardie?

Congrats on the new little guy/gal!
If you just got him, give him about a week or so before handling him, just to get him use to his new environment. After that just keep handling him, and he/she will mellow out. They need repetition and after a while it will break them of this behavior. They need to gain your trust so they know you're there for them.

No problem, just keep the repetition up, your temps/UVB correct, and feed him correctly and you should be all good!

So I named him Russell. I pick hold him once or twice a day. Still isn’t too happy to be picked up (normal?) but once he is in my hand, he is chill. Is there anything in particular Inshkuld be doing or not doing when I’m holding him?

Ok. Thanks. I do. He likes to be when I circle my hand around like a cave. I think he would stay there for hours.
