I am a first time Beardie owner (even though my 7 yr old thinks it is his). His name is Aslan.

So, my question is this. He is just a baby, about 6-7" long. He seems like he would sit and eat dubia nymphs all day long if I'd let him. During our three feeding sessions per day, do I let him eat as many as he wants till he wont go after the bugs any longer or do i limit it?

Thanks
Darin

(PS-I Tried searching the forum for info but the search "how much to eat" comes back as an error. )

Aslan - I LOVE it !! And - he's a cutie! Sounds like he might grow a bit. It is typically recommended to feed them as many crickets as they will eat in a 15 minute window - 3 times daily. Dubias provide better nutrition. Good idea to mix it up a bit - dubias, crickets, small worms (no longer in any direction than the width between his eyes). Start offering greens - dandelion, cress, beet, etc. he may not dive in right at first, but leave some in his viv for him to explore. Dont limit him - if he's hungry, let him eat. Welcome ! Be sure to browse around the forum a bit - lots of good info here.. And good folk, too
