Hello! I just got my bearded dragon yesterday. His enclosure is 48.5x18.5x16. He’s a juvenile but I’m not sure how old he is. I do plan on getting him a larger enclosure when he’s an adult. I have a mix of play sand and top soil as substrate. His enclosure is pretty bare as of right now but i do have some questions regarding that. He has a 100 watt heat lamp for his basking spot attached to a dimmer. And a digital probe thermometer which says it’s about 105° in his basking spot. And he has a 22” 24 watt 10.0 T5 repti sun uv light across the warm side of his tank. Warm area is 85° and cool area is 75°. I’m still trying to get his humidity perfect. It’s 35% on his warm side and 60% on cool side. Anyway. We have these bricks on the side of the house and i was wondering if i could sanitize them and place them in his tank like this? I figured could be a free hide out option. And how would i go about sanitizing them? Thank you in advance! View attachment IMG_3514.jpeg

Just a good scrub with soapy hot water and a good rinse will be fine. You can add a capful of bleach if you like, but rinse well. Brick + rock aren't porous like wood which you need to pop in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Just make sure they are stable enough that they wont topple if stacked if/when your beardie climbs on them (your pic of them didnt come through).
