New Beardie! Light/heat questioning...

I have a Beardie named Bam. Seems to be right at a year old. I got from a listing from someone that knew nothing of previous diet, health or age (rehomed for her young son).
I have quiet the lot for questions but want to start with the lighting. Everything I gained was from the previous owner minus the cork wood inside the tank and the UVB white light/bar.
Paper towels are placed down instead of the carpet they had in it as I figured it would harbour bacteria and not be well on the nails. (on the hunt for a bedding that is not loose or bacteria holding...)
Is the distancing between the top of the cork log and the lightings okay by sight in the pictures?
I got the UVB bar so that he has it for most of the tank. The hear stays on the one side above the log. The temperarure during the day/the lights on hours stays around 85-95. I do 10 hours on.
I cut the screen where the UVB would be direct.
Any advice is appreciated.
I am working towards more things to be added to the environment.
Will gain an enclosure with front opening doors when I can.

Ok first your on the right track w/ the UVB distance should be 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor piece UVB should NOT be over 11 months old - what is the brand please and I am thinking this is a T5 it will say on the bulb please look -- as far as the red light bulb please get rid of it IMMEDIATLEY -- it is damaging your dragons 3rd eye and provide NO UVA-- please get a solid clear bright white bulb examples are Flukers basking - Exo Terra Intense or a Arcadia halogen -- please make sure your using a digital probe thermometer to get surface basking temps of 95-100 this starts digestion -- you want ambient temps on hot side around 100 mid tank 90's and cool side of the tank 80ish -- night time temps 65-75-- NO colored lights of any kind -- NO daytime bulbs -- NO off white or yellowish bulbs -- photo period is good -- if you need websites for tanks I can post some for you -- another suggestion for substrate you can use some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank and clean w/ vinegar/ water 50/50--

Ah yes... I gained all he has with the previous owner and the UVB bulb was broken and I knew he needed more light/UVB coverage so I got his bar lighting. It is "Zilla, Slimline Desert Fixture, 50 UVB T8. Brand new, so it is not over the 11 month status. Is T8 not okay? Says on the box it is for bearded dragons and etc reptiles of the sort. The red heat light I figured was a no go, but wanted to reference what heating he needed before the change. At night there are no lights on. He sleeps in the temperature range of what you stated (65-75). Day temps have been perfect. I have two probe thermometers on each side. Websites for tanks would be glorious! Looking for front facing doors; as not to spook Bam so much as Bam has yet to warm up to me for much handling. And would find this setup easier for feeding and cleaning. Shelf liner! What a grand idea! I shall look into this. Is the form of sweating (mouth open) common under the basking lamp? I would presume Bam would move to the cooler side if wanted and felt hot; even if temps are reading where they should be. I appreciate your detailed response. Thank you so much!

The T 8 Zilla is not a great UVB it will work but you must take the cover off the fixture if you havent already - and it needs to be 6-8 inches directly over the basking decor- the bulb needs to be replaced in 5 months- I recommend getting a 24" fixture either a Zoo Med or Arcadia Pro T 5 12% bulb 24 watt or a Sunblaster Nano Tech w the Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb -- better quality than the Zilla brand -- If hes gaping he is adjusting his body temp which is good -- here are some websites for tanks I have the Zen Habitat tanks w/ the black mat as the substrate --
https://www.zenhabitats.com/products/4x2x2-reptile-enclosure-the-zen-habitat-3-0
www.dubiaroaches.com several people have ordered these and seemed to be happy w/ them
www.symtonbsf.com
https://apcages.com/ no feedback on this one dont know of anyone getting these
https://talkingserpents.com/ same w/ this one no feedback
https://carolinadesignerdragons.com/ these are very heavy and I do not like the set up for the UVB attached to the basking bulb
Do your shopping and comparison for what your looking for - I would call if you have questions about the tanks -- if you need links for the UVB's please let me know I can post them for you as well
