Good morning!

We just picked up our 4 month old Luna on Sunday! She came home and was loving being held and ate a ton of crickets and collard greens. Yesterday she ate maybe half the crickets and a little greens. I did notice last night she seemed very skiddish and opened her mouth at me once. This morning I was able to pick her up but she then took off back in her tank. She seems to fly around the tank alot jumping off of things and making a mess when noone is around.

My question is is this normal behavior? I know she needs a day or 2 to adjust. Its hard just leaving her in the tank, especially when I hear her zipping around the tank. Should I hold her anyway to get her used to me?

Your dragon is going thru relocation stress and yes its best to keep things low in the tank - when they are little they do ALOT of jumping and can severely hurt them selves -- its going to take more than 2 days for her to settle in -- some take months - the opening of the mouth is normal behavior and being skittish --- shes going to need to learn to trust you and it may take time -- in the meantime do not get her out let her acclimate to the tank and surroundings place a piece of clothing or fleece blanket in the hide w/ your smell on it so she gets used to you --- and the MOST IMPORTANT thing in that tank is the UVB and basking temps- NO COILS for a UVB and basking temps need to be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer NO stick ons they are inaccurate temps should be 105-110 as she gets older around 6-7 months that temp may change to 95-100 they tend not to like real hot temps as they get older - its good to offer a piece of decor that will offer a heat temp gradient --- NO COLORED BULBS NO HEAT MATS OR ROCKS - and NO sand !! Basking bulb should be a bright white basking bulb NO off white or yellowish bulbs please ------------ her eating may be off slow if she stops eating all together there is a issue--- please offer fresh salads every morning - I would get some BSFL from here www.symtonbsf.com use them as salad toppers DO NOT dust them --- hand feed her a few that will start the hand taming and getting her used to you as well then put them on top of her salads in front of her they make a great compliment to the main staple insect you will need a ceramic bowl or glass so they cannot get out - I would order the large for a 4 month old -- here is a website for nutrition ignore the kale thing its a great staple feeder http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
If you need more help w/ anything please ask

Thank you for your response! Im using the t5 h/o uvb bulb and a 75 watt basking bulb. Temps in the basking area range from 100 to about 112ish depending on the spot. I use a i/r temp gun to take temps.
I guess ill have to let her be. Lol. What should I do about bath times? Is it about once a week for her? Should I mist her as well since I have not really seen her drink anything?

The UVB is where ? Top of screen or inside the tank? Depending on the screen the T 5 has options- bathing I would not do it's gonna stress her out more- rinse the salads before serving she's going to get the majority of her hydration thru that make sure your gut loading the insects at nite so when you feed them to her in the morning she will get some hydration from them as well - you want dark formed moist poop urate white formed moist- dry chalky looking she's dehyrated- you can mist or drop water on her nose to see if she will lick- she will move to where she likes the temp-
