Welcome to the forum
usually they sell them around 3 months of age but have been known to sell alot younger -- Iam guessing around 2 months old -- did you buy a " kit" ? If so you got alot of stuff your going to need to replace can you post a pic of the tank or the box it came in so I can help you out --- the most important thing in the tank is the basking temps and how your getting them and the UVB-- those two things control the overall health and behavior -- if the temps are not right or the UVB they will quit eating all together and you do not want that --- that is why I am asking -- please let the dragon acclimate to the tank and surroundings he will go thru relocation stress his eating may be off or slow as he acclimates to the tank and surroundings his appetite will increase but you must have your temps and UVB correct --- what size tank is he in now? Watch when you hold him I would recommend you let him be for awhile so he gets used to you -- beware they will jump off of you -- it is wise to always keep a hand over their back no shoulder riding please - they think they are superman and will fly off of you -- please ask questions -- please NO colored bulbs or heat mats - colored bulbs will damage their eyes and cause health issues w/ their eyes -

Thank you so much for the info! I have him in a 55 gallon tank right now..will upgrade once he gets bigger. His temp stays between 100-110 and 75 on the cool side. I dont put water in the tank so i bath him twice a week and will give him water drops off my finger acouple times a day. I have a uvb tube light that he seems to love to be under but ive read alot that he should have one across the whole top so i ordered a 10.0 h.o 40watt i believe..

Ok can you send me a link to the UVB you ordered- the stick ons are inaccurate-- please get a digital probe thermometer you don't want a full length of the tank -- a 24" fixture would work

Hes only eating maybe 10 crickets a day and ill give him just alittle bit of collards carrots and cucumber salads once a week. Should he be eating more than that you think?

He should be fed salads every morning- I will post a nutrition website for you tomorrow plus tips on how to lure him to the food bowl a long w/ websites for insects / worms- he's going to go thru relocation stress- he should keep eating if he quits there is a issue-- that is why correct basking temps and UVB are extremely important

http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder
Get him some BSFL order large as they are small do not dust them they are a great staple feeder for babies- feed as many as you want and put them on top of his salads in front of him these will compliment another staple feeder like crickets dubia roaches silk worms -- those will need to be dusted w/ the calcium D3 5 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly coated along w/ vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly coated I recommend the roaches they are easier to work w/ adding to the bowl after letting him eat from the bowl in the morning for a hr or so
make sure your feeding insects the size no bigger than the space between the eyes length wise
www.symtonbsf.com
www.dubiaroaches.com
www.mulberryrarms.com
www.reptilianarts.com
www.joshsfrogs.com
www.coastalsilkworms.com
All these places offer different insects/ worms you will need to shop around
Horn worms butter worms and super worms are all good treat worms the horn worms are a good hydrating worm but they grow VERY FAST so when ordering them feed 1-2 and order small amounts or they will out grow him- super worms are also a good lure but only feed 1-3 on the salads as lures as well I would get medium the butter worms are spendy but a good soft worm and can only be found so far w/ mulberryfarms - stay away from wax worms they are really fatty and should be fed sparingly -- meal worms should not be fed to babies they are too hard on the stomachs for digestion
